The author argues that modernization of higher education is dictated by the times. It must be a continuation of past experience, undergo constant changes of the curriculum, education forms and technologies, and include systemic computerization of all functions and aspects of educational activities, this being the most effective and modern way of intensification of the teaching process in order to minimize the possible negative impact on the quality of education during the transition to the training of specialists at various levels of education involving shorter education periods for the bulk of students.

По мнению автора, модернизация экономического образования императив времени. Она должна быть преемственной, носить характер постоянно осуществляемого обновления содержания, форм и технологий обучения, включать системную компьютеризацию всех функций и сторон образовательной деятельности, как наиболее эффективный современный способ интенсификации учебного процесса, с целью минимизации возможного ущерба качеству образования в контексте перехода на ступенчатую систему подготовки специалистов, предусматривающую сокращение срока обучения основной массы студентов.
