Abstract

Nowadays the main problem of development of mineral resources in Russia’s regions is a shortage of investments. They are necessary to support normal reproduction processes in key branches of the national economy, the harmonious balanced development of Russia’s regions. The paper discusses the interrelation between developments of certain resource territories, in particular regions of the East of Russia, and possibilities to realize large-scale investment projects in their territories anyway influencing the development of resource potential. Whether it is the construction of a hydroelectric power station, pipeline capacities, or development of production of natural resources, GRP increment, tax liabilities, and job growth in a region as a result of realization of such initiatives are everywhere announced.
