Abstract

The paper presents an analysis of the criteria for the effective use of land challenges, the design of the location of ore dump pits. In the analysis mining, geological and environmental conditions as well as social and environmental constraints are focused on. The priority factors influencing the location of mining enterprises, namely the costs of: alienation of land, work on planning dumps, transportation costs, and cost of land restoration are identified. On the base of the mentioned factors the objective function is suggested, the minimum value of which determines the optimal location for mining companies. The calculations using the objective function in the authors method of determining the most cost¬effective technology option open field development with the value of land, mode of violation and recovery methods for Zhireken ore mine
