Abstract

The effect of temperature on the morphology of grain boundary layers of (bTi) in VT6 alloy is studied in the two-phase (aTi)+( bTi) region of phase diagram Ti-V-Al in 660-840 °С temperature range. The temperature dependence of the proportion of grain boundaries in (aTi) covered with a continuous layer of (bTi) was obtained. It shows that the portion of the grain boundaries covered completely with (bTi) layer near-llinearly increases with the annealing temperature from zero at 650 °C. This increase is much stronger than the increase of the portion of (bTi) in the alloy with the annealing temperature.
