Abstract

On the base of Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin since 2003 we investigate the methodics of preparation of specialists of adaptive physical culture to holding the swimming studies with deaf children. As you study the practical experience of teaching the discipline “Swimming” in our region and the whole of Russia, as well as literature review we determined that the method of training in adaptive physical education to conduct swimming lessons with deaf children needs to be further developed and improved since the methodology questions of training in adaptive physical education are poorly investigated and dealt with in scientific and methodological literature. The approaches to study the organization of classes, the use of methods and instructional techniques for teaching deaf children to swim are not fully developed. The content of production, teaching and learning practices require completion. Methodical features of elementary swimming education of 6-7 years old deaf children and test items to assess the level of swimming skills of deaf children at initial learning to swim are insufficiently studied. Evaluation criteria of knowledge and skills of professional training in adaptive physical education to conduct swimming lessons with deaf children are scarcely explored.
