Abstract

Data on peculiarities of heavy metals accumulation in chernozem soils of Samara Zavolzhye are submitted in the article. Different types of chernozem soils in the above region have been studied: leached chernozems of the northern zone, typical chernozems of the central part of the region and south chernozems in the southern zone. The analyses were carried out in the «Samarskaya» University laboratory and the experimental materials were statistically processed in the University data-processing center. Peculiarities of heavy metals ( Cd, Pb, Zn, Cu, Co, Mn) accumulation in the major subtypes of Samara Zavolzhye chernozem soils and the nature of their localization in the arable horizon have been revealed. The results of studies confirm that the greatest amount of gross forms of Cd, Pb, Zn, Mn and Cu is accumulated in leached chernozems and Co – in typical chernozem soils. The maximum level of movable forms of Cd, Pb, Cu and Co has been observed on leached soils, while Zn and Mn – on typical chernozem soils. The content of gross and movable forms of heavy metals in soil is mainly determined by the existence of clay and silt fractions, as well as by humus content. It is found that during the years of studies the concentration rate of metal-toxicants in all the subtypes of chernozem soils under study was close to background values and did not surpass the MPS.
