Abstract

This article deals with the features of development of speech and cognitive sphere of children with severe speech disorders, the areas of dyscalculia diagnostics of such children. The author describes in detail the four stages of the diagnostics aimed at the development of scientifically based methods of examination and correction of mathematical cognition disorders for the prevention of dyscalculia of senior preschool children and junior schoolchildren with SSD. It is emphasized that the described pedagogical diagnostics may determine the potential abilities of both normally developing children and their peers with SSD and mental retardation.
