Abstract

The article deals with analysis of the reasons for the low level of mathematical literacy in the application of mathematics in practical problems solution. The main means of increasing of the level of mathematical literacy is seen in authoring technology of students’ training of mathematical modeling methods on the basis of solving problems with the practical content, contained in an open bank of tasks in mathematics within a functional line of school mathematics. Identifying the sources of mathematical problems, specification of components of mathematical modeling method for solving the selected class, organization of training for the individual components of mathematical modeling method using a specially selected set of mathematical problems allow to increase the level of mathematical literacy in solving problems with practical content.
