Abstract

The article shows the common features and differences of the social and legal status of women postal and telegraph officials in the Belarusian provinces in the second half of the XIX – early XX centuries. Gender differences in hiring and peculiarities of the conditions of service of women in comparison with men postal and telegraph officials were revealed. The role of women in the service in the postal and telegraph department and the evolution of their social and legal status are analyzed

В статье показаны общие черты и отличия социально-правового положения женщин почтово-телеграфных чиновников в белорусских губерниях во второй половине XIX – начале XX вв. Выявлены гендерные различия при приеме на работу и особенности условий службы женщин в сравнении с мужчинами почтово-телеграфными чиновниками. Проанализирована эволюция социально-правового положения женщин на службе в почтово-телеграфном ведомстве
