Abstract

ABSTRACT In this study, titled `The Nûn and its Conditions in Arabic Grammar` we dealt with `Nun`, one of the letters in Arabic alphabet and examined it, from the different aspects. The Holy Qur'an, Tafsîr (The Quranic commentary) and Hadith (Prophet's sayings) sources and that we can get information from works on Arabic language and literature written from early times up to now are searched thoroughly. All information and examples that found in these sources related to `Nun` were determined. As a result of our pre-search, we decided to examine the conditions of `Nun` in an introduction and four chapters. Firstly; the `Nun` upon which an agreement was reached that it is a noun and the `Nun` which its reputation as a noun is controversial, were examined. In the first chapter; we put forward the tanween/nunnation the letter of `Nun` whith no haraka/vowel point the Nûn of ta'keed (emphasized) with no shadda/intensification, the conditions of Nûn with no haraka and the status of tanween giving related examples. In the second chapter; the `Nun` which is in the form of a letter with haraka was widely examined together with examples. In the third chapter; `Nun` was carefully studied in terms of origin, addition, substitution and omit Lastly; the conditions of the `Nun` with no haraka and the tanween according to reciters and Arabic grammerians, were explained with examples. ÖZET `Arap Dili Gramerinde Nûn ve Halleri` isimli bu çalışmamızda Arap alfabesi harflerinden Nûn incelenerek konu etraflıca ele alındı. Nûn'la ilgili yaptığımız bu araştırmada Kur'ân-ı Kerim.Tefsir Hadis kaynaklan ile ilk dönemden itibaren günümüze kadar yazılan Arap Dili ve Edebiyatı'yla ilgili eserlerden ulaşabildiklerimiz gözden geçirildi. Bu eserlerde Nûn'la ilgili yer alan bilgi ve örnekler tespit edildi. Yapılan bu çalışma sonucunda Nûn, bir giriş ve dört bölümde detaylarıyla birlikte ele alındı: Giriş bölümünde; isim Nûnu olduğunda ittifak edilen Nûn ve İsim olup olmadığı ihtilaflı olan Nûn, örnekleriyle incelendi. Birinci bölümde; sakin Nûn harfi olan tenvîn, şeddesiz te'kid Nûnu, sakin olan Nûnun halleri ve tenvînin durumu yine örnekler verilerek ortaya konuldu. ikinci bölümde ise; harekeli bir harf şeklinde olan Nûn yine örnekler verilerek geniş olarak ele alındı. Üçüncü bölümde Nûn; asıl, ziyade, ibdâl ve hazf bakımından incelendi. Dördüncü ve son bölümde; kıraat ve nahivcilere göre sakin Nûn ve tenvînin hükümleri örneklerle ortaya konuldu.
