Опыт применения процедуры идентификации метафоры (MIPVU) к библейским текстам

Abstract

В данной статье автор излагает опыт применения процедуры идентификации метафоры в тексте, разработанной исследователями Амстердамского свободного университета, к библейским текстам. Цель статьи — показать, что современные методы лингвистических исследований могут быть успешно применены в изучении античных текстов. В первой части рассматриваются теоретические основания применения процедуры идентификации метафоры MIP(VU) к текстам значительного объема. Данная процедура позволяет в несколько последовательных шагов выявить метафору посредством сравнения буквального и контекстуального значения лексических единиц. Во второй части описываются результаты проведенного по данному алгоритму анализа метафоры на материале древнегреческого подлинника Евангелия от Иоанна. Анализ текста посредством метода MIP(VU) слово за словом позволил выявить сеть потенциально метафорических слов, число которых составило порядка 10% (для существительных). Обозначены основные достижения и перспективы проведенного . The theme of this paper refers to applying metaphor identification procedure (MIP) by scientists group of VU of Amsterdam to original (Greek) texts of the Bible. The purpose of the paper is to show that modern methods of linguistic research can be employed profitably in ancient studies. At first, the author shows theoretical basis of the method of metaphor identification procedure. MIPVU consist of steps, which allow to find metaphor in long texts by comprising basic and textual meanings of lexical units. Then we represent the practical results of analysis of John Gospel in Greek. We analyze the text word-by-word with MIPVU method in order to find for finding metaphor related words (MRW). As a result, more than 10 % of nouns, used by John, were marked as MRW. These results can be applied to linguistic, conceptual and translations aspects of metaphor studying. We show that an MIP(VU) is important instrument for metaphor identification, which can be applied to ancient text.
