Der Beitrag analysiert die Darstellung der ImmigrantInnen nach Taiwan im Jugend-Roman "Saigon Kid", dessen Verfasserin eine Taiwanerin ohne besonderen Bezug zum Ausland ist. Ihre Darstellung wird mit der Selbst-Darstellung in deutscher Sprache der Einwanderer in den deutschsprachigen Ländern Europas verglichen.
