Semiotic Approach to Visual Communications

Authors: S. I. Simakova;

Semiotic Approach to Visual Communications

Abstract

The author focuses on the visualization of journalistic content as one of the phenomena of the modern world. Having formulated the goal of the study — to consider the semiotic approach to visual communications (using the example of infographics), the author consistently implements it. This is facilitated by a clearly structured article. The author concretizes the concept of the semiotic approach, visual communications, then these concepts are considered in the aggregate — a semiotic approach as applied to visual communications. The article brought to your attention is a comprehensive study of three modern phenomena: journalism, infographics and media aesthetics.
