Abstract

AbstractAlgorithms for computing the logarithm of Bessel functions of complex argument and integer order are presented. These algorithms will be useful when direct evaluation of the Bessel function causes computer overflow or underflow. Several numerical results are presented, and an example of radiation by a line source is given. Copyright © 2005 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
