Musical Reality Shows on Russian Television (2017–2018)

Abstract

The article explores the specifics of reality TV shows on the Russian TV segment following the example of the New Star Factory (Muz­TV) and SONGs (TNT) projects. The study contains a comprehensive analysis of the content of television program data for the period 2017–2018, demonstrates the results of comparative analysis of the formats of television projects, explores the production technology of musical reality shows, their means of screen expressiveness and the interactive component of the show. The authors consider the prospects of musical reality shows in the Russian audiovisual industry and the extent of its impact on the audience. The article will be useful to media researchers, television journalists, teachers and students of journalism departments.

В статье исследуется специфика музыкальных реалити-шоу в российском телевизионном сегменте на примере проектов «Новая Фабрика звезд» (телеканал Муз-ТВ) и «ПЕСНИ» (телеканал ТНТ). Работа содержит комплексный анализ контента данных телепрограмм за 2017–2018 гг., демонстрирует результаты сравнительного анализа форматов телевизионных проектов, исследует технологию производства музыкальных реалити-шоу, их средства экранной выразительности и интерактивную составляющую шоу. Авторы рассматривают перспективность музыкальных реалити-шоу в условиях российской аудиовизуальной отрасли и масштабы их влияния на аудиторию. Статья будет полезна исследователям СМИ, журналистам, работающим на телевидении, преподавателям и студентам факультетов журналистики.
