СОПОСТАВИТЕЛЬНЫЙ АНАЛИЗ ВОЗВРАТНЫХ КОНСТРУКЦИЙ В РУССКОМ И АНГЛИЙСКОМ ЯЗЫКАХ

Abstract

The current article contains an analysis of Russian reflexive verbs of different types and their English correspondences obtained using a parallel subcorpus of the national corpus of the Russian language in order to study the nature of the implementation of reflexivity in the English language. unlike any other language, in English, covert grammar is formed on the basis of meanings that do not receive an explicit morphological expression. The analysis of corpus materials demonstrates the presence of covert reflexivity in the English language. The authors establish the main classes of situations encoded in a covert way, and also identify the semantic types of verbs that implement reflexivity in a non-morphological way and thus participate in the formation of a covert category in the English language.
