AbstractThe object of the present paper is to derive a number of transformations involving certain families of basic (or q-) hypergeometric functions of two variables. These results would provide basic (or q-) extensions of numerous (known or new) transformations associated with the ordinary Kampé de Fériet functions with different sets of arguments. Some further consequences of our main transformation formulas are also considered.
