The article deals with the issues of the structural transformations of the Ukrainian economy at the sectoral level, on the example of the marine economy. The segmentation of the domestic maritime complex has been carried out and a number of problems that complicate structural changes, are identified. The nature of transformation processes is analyzed. The main possible directions of structural shifts in the marine economy are outlined: technological, institutional, reproductive and spatial. Identification of the current state of certain sectors of the marine industry was made and proposals were made for their further development.
