This work pays tribute to Joe Dassin and comprises a series of activities dealing with the use of his song “The Small Chocolate Bun” for students at A2 level in French. These activities envisage speaking, listening and reading exercises, encourage students to discuss different topics (the French song, the life story of the singer, his appearance, feelings, love story, favourite shops, food, cuisine) and organise active use and efficient acquisition of vocabulary and grammar, particularly Past Tenses, depending on the communicative situation.
