Abstract

The article presents an analysis of the psychomotor qualities in children with the help of complex sensorimotor reactions of discrimination, choice, and reaction to a moving object. The study involved blind and visually impaired children of primary school age. Due to the fact that motor functions are one of the main manifestations of human life and significantly affect the development of other body systems. The disturbances of these functions create unfavorable conditions for the development of psychomotor skills. Pathology leads to the damage to internal organs as well as to their functions that provide individual biological development, and external, motor, underlying adaptation to the social environment. As a result, the study found that boys and girls with visual impairments lag behind their peers in terms of the total number of errors, the number of advances, the Whipple precision coefficient, the average reaction time, and the number of erroneous reactions.
