INTELLIGENCE AND MEDIA-INFORMATION COMPETENCE

Abstract

The article presents speculations about attitudes of the media in contemporary globalizing world, which is characterized with extraordinary dynamics of information processes the content of which is increasingly focused on the manipulation of consciousness. Analysis of philosophical and scientific literature has shown the importance of a deeper relationship to the task of forming the "image of the world" through decoding mediareality. Attention is drawn to the insufficiency of the only traditional media-educational technology to accomplish this task. It is proposed another approach, which is based on upbringing intelligence structure and it’s five elements: competence, intellectual activity, creativity, self-regulation and uniqueness. It is highlighted the importance of social, psychological and educational research of the development of intelligence concerning the ability of the formation of the "world picture" through the decoding of mediareality.
