CREATION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE MUSEUM-PEDAGOGICAL PROGRAM IN THE MASTERS’ TRAINING SYSTEM

Abstract

The significance of the effectiveness of teacher training in line with the tasks of reforming the education of Ukraine, the formation of a competitive specialist, necessitates the improvement of the pedagogical process of higher education and the system of its scientific and educational and methodological support. In this regard, the importance of museum as a centre of cultural and educational environment that embodies the ideological and socio-cultural needs of the individual and society is actualized. Usage of collections for research and educational purposes, distribution of knowledge contained in primary sources; the orientation of the educational process to the development of initiative and independence of an individual, education of aesthetic perception, morality, formation of outlook, creative activity; awareness of the ability of museums to carry information about the world around them, and of visual and comparative ways of obtaining this information, implies the need to develop and implement a museum-pedagogical program in the system of preparing masters for professional activity. We have developed a program for preparation of candidates for the master’s educational degree in specialty “011. Educational, Pedagogical Sciences” in the process of studying the disciplines “Higher School Pedagogics” and “Andragogics in the System of Pedagogical Sciences”, and it has the following components: target, motivational-stimulating, contents, operative-activity and generally-productive.Its main tasks have been defined: realization of upbringing and educational potential of the museum; ensuring the unity of education, training and development of the future teacher’s personality in a specially organized museum environment.Implementing the program practically at a higher educational institution, we identify the basic principles that ensure the optimal realization of the goal and objectives: subjectivity, humanization, integrity, stimulation to self-education, relevance, support for the positive, the combination of theory and practice, self-esteem, systematic, continuity, availability, clarity, scientific. The museum-pedagogical program in the system of masters’ training involves the participation of various subjects, including teachers, museum workers, who act as consultants, leaders of pedagogical practices, scientific circles and problem groups, participants of scientific conferences, presentations, excursions, educational events in the museum environment and other forms of museum-pedagogical activity.
