EFEKTIVITAS PEMBELAJARAN FISIKA SMA BERBASIS MEDIA EASY JAVA SIMULATIONS

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve the effectiveness of students’ learning through a simulation program, i.e. Easy Java Simulation (EJS). This is a classroom action research conducted in the academic year of 2015/2016 at Cakra Buana High School with the respondents of 20 students from MIPA classes. In this study, students utilize Easy Java Simulation program to increase the effectiveness of physics learning on optics. The students learn about optics visually on the computer by using the tool of Easy Java Simulation (EJS) that can help the students develop their knowledge about optics. The results shows that at the second cycle, the average of active students increases to be 67.5% and inactive students decrease to be 26.3%. Therefore, the utilization of EJS program can improve the effectiveness of students’ learning.
