Abstract

The article presents a study of the functional power of electrode electric heaters with zoned electrode systems. It is shown that the developed methods and algorithms for calculating the static and dynamic characteristics of the main electrode systems of electrode electric heaters-sensors, providing allowable current densities in the interelectrode space of heaters and a given heating intensity of media, using electrothermal treatment of skimmed milk as an example, demonstrated high adequacy of characteristics. The dicovered additional properties of their multifunctional use make it possible to protect electric heating installations from emergency operation modes, control the formation of deposits on the electrodes and the boiling intensity.
