
The main aim of the present study is to investigate positive psychotherapies with respec to positive psychological interventions. According to main aim of this study, the concept of psychotherapy was investigated. Then, some classical psychotherapies were summarized. The foundations of positive psychotherapies (increasing of well-being) were mentioned. Positive psychological interventions were also examined. Positive psychotherapies such as Seligman and his friends’ positive psychotherapy, Pesesschkian’ positive psychotherapy, well-being therapy and also qualities of life psychotherapy were investigated with respect to effectiveness. As a result, positive psychotherapies are as effective as classical psychotherapies. To see that both classical and positive psychotherapies are inbuilt might enrich our understanding.
