Abstract

Es un avance de investigación acerca del desempeño dialéctico de Sócrates en cuanto abogadode sí mismo en el juicio incoado en contra suya por la polis ateniense en el 399 a.n.e. Consecuenciade esa exploración microhistórica y hermenéutica, centrada principalmente en La Apología (ycomplementada con otros diálogos “socráticos” de Platón), es la tesis que nos muestra un Sócratesdesconocido: maniático, intolerante, gárrulo, falaz y supersticioso, un perfi l de personalidad y temperamento,resueltamente distinto de la imagen clásica acuñada por Platón y enriquecida por losexégetas y cultores históricos de su saga intelectual.Palabras claves: Sócrates, Atenas, Apología, Platón, Metalógica, Hermenéutica. ABSTRACTIt is a preview of the research about Socrates’s dialectical performance as lawyer of himself at thetrial opened against him by the Athenian polis in 399 BC. As a result of this microhistorical andhermeneutics exploration, that it is mainly focused on the Apology (and supplemented with otherSocratic dialogues of Plato), the thesis that shows us an unknown Socrates: cranky, intolerant, garrulous,false and superstitious, a personality profi le and temperament that is resolutely differentfrom the classic image coined by Plato.Keywords:Socrates, Athens, Apology, Plato, Metalogic, Hermeneutics.
