Pensamento e Reificação

Abstract

A história da amizade entre Hannah Arendt e Walter Benjamin já é bastante conhecida do público brasileiro. Todavia, sua semelhante atenção ao fenômeno da obra de arte e a relação deste com a história tem sido descurada por grande número de seus intérpretes e/ou críticos. Por certo, isso se justifica pelo fato de que no tocante à história ambos dispunham de interesse idêntico, contudo, no que tange à arte Benjamin demonstrou um apetite (e destaque) mais expressivo do que Arendt. Ainda assim, é possível assinalar que as noções de ambos sobre arte e história se encontram formuladas em um sentido comum. Destarte, nossa hipótese é que com base nos conceitos de pensamento (thought / habe gedacht) e reificação (reification / Verdinglichung) torna-se possível articular aqui uma aproximação entre as reflexões teóricos-sociais e filosófico-estéticas desenvolvidas por Walter Benjamin e por Hannah Arendt, que permite pensar de forma mais alargada a potência e a profundidade da intenção social e política dos trabalhos engendrados por esses intelectuais.
