Abstract

Članek obravnava pravice pacientov in izpostavlja pravico do avtonomije kot eno ključnih pravic pri celostni individualni obravnavi posameznika. V prvem delu so opredeljeni nekateri pojmi, kot so: etika, morala, avtonomija, zagovorništvo, informiranje, pristanek pacienta. V drugem delu je predstavljen del raziskovalnega projekta Društva medicinskih sester in zdravstvenih tehnikov Ljubljana Zdravstvena nega v luči etike. Avtorica je iskala odgovore na odprto vprašanje: Kaj je avtonomija pacienta? Zbrani podatki so obdelani po kvalitativni metodi in so razvrščeni v dvajset kategorij, od katerih prvih pet predstavlja večino odgovorov. Avtorica zaključuje, da je področje etike v zdravstveni negi v Sloveniji potrebno dodatnih osvetlitev, predvsem pa apliciranja etičnih načel v prakso.
