TRASTORNO DE DÉFICIT DE ATENCIÓN E HIPERACTIVIDAD

Abstract

El trastorno por déficit de atención con hiperactividad (TDAH) es la patología neuropsiquiátrica más común en todo el mundo en la población pediátrica. La identificación temprana del TDAH, el proceso de diagnóstico diferencial adecuado y el tratamiento de éste con sus comorbilidades pueden disminuir el desarrollo de complicaciones futuras. Las intervenciones psicosociales, como el entrenamiento a padres, y las intervenciones en el colegio son estrategias sugeridas comúnmente en los preescolares (3–5 años), como también el uso de tratamiento farmacológico, aunque en menor grado. El objetivo de este trabajo es revisar la literatura sobre el manejo clínico psicosocial y farmacológico del TDAH en los niños con el fin de recopilar las principales investigaciones de la literatura internacional, así como, actualizar el tratamiento y ajustarlo a la población latinoamericana.
