Abstract

O artigo analisa a relação estabelecida entre a literatura catalã e o mundo cultural caribeño y latino-americano através da imprensa durante o século XX. O estudo se centra na intervenção de Ramón Vinyes na revista Voces de Barranquilla (1917-1920) e no papel das publicações impulsadas pela diáspora catalã no Caribe e na América Latina depois do exílio republicano espanhol de 1939. O texto enfatiza dois aspectos: a) o rol do escritor e crítico defendido em Voces tendo por base os conceitos expostos em plataformas com La Nouvelle Revue Française de París ou La Revista de Barcelona; b) a confrontação de uma minoria cultural e literária europeia (catalã) com literaturas em processo de identificação e construção (latino-americanas) a partir da constatação de que ambas estavam envolvidas no mesmo processo de superação do localismo. El estudio se centra en la intervención de Ramón Vinyes en la revista Voces de Barranquilla (1917-1920) y en el papel de las publicaciones impulsadas por la diáspora catalana en el Caribe y Latinoamérica tras el exilio republicano hispánico de 1939. El texto pone énfasis en dos aspectos: a) El rol del escritor y del crítico defendido en Voces, en base a los conceptos afianzados en plataformas como La Nouvelle Revue Française de París o La Revista de Barcelona; b) La confrontación de una minoría cultural y literaria europea (catalana) a literaturas en proceso de identificación y construcción (latinoamericanas), con la constatación de un proceso común de superación de lo local. Abstract This article analyses the connection established between Catalan literature and the Caribbean and Latin American cultural scene in the press throughout the XXth century. This paper focuses on the contributions that Ramon Vinyes made in the Barranquilla magazine Voces (1917-1920) and the role of the publications fostered by the Catalan Diaspora in Caribbean and Latin America after the Spanish Republican exile of 1939. The text highlights two main aspects: a) The roles of the writer and the critic as defended in Voces, compared to the well-established concepts in publications such as the Parisian La Nouvelle Revue Française and La Revista from Barcelona; b) The interaction between a European cultural and literary minority (Catalan) and the Caribbean and Latin American literatures, which were undergoing a process of identification and construction, realizing that they both share a process which goes beyond the local sphere.
