Abstract

Felsefede nedensellik problemi, felsefe geleneğinin merkezinde yer alan bir problem olma özelliğine sahiptir. Bu çalışmada Aristoteles’in felsefî sisteminden hareketle felsefede nedensellik meselesi ele alınmıştır. Nedensellik konusu sırasıyla dört neden, nedenselliğin metafizikte ele alınışı, nedenselliğin mahiyet ve zorunluluk ile ilişkisi, tanrı evren ilişkisi bağlamında nedensellik ve zihinsel nedensellik konu başlıkları altında incelenmiştir. Filozofun neden kavramını terminolojik olarak ele alıp incelediği Fizik ve Metafizik adlı eserlerindeki pasajlara yer verilmiştir. Buna bağlı olarak Aristoteles’in nedensellik modelinin müslüman filozofların –özellikle de İbn Sînâ’nın- konuyla ilgili yaklaşımlarının temelinde yer alışı irdelenmiştir.
