Abstract

Desde os anos cinqüenta do século XX, uma forte corrente do pensamento francês, tem debatido a questão do lugar e papel do intelectual, fora e dentro da cena política. Alguns importantes autores deste cenário são Louis Althusser, Michel Foucault, Gilles Deleuze. Para eles, a relação do intelectual com seu tempo está relacionada a uma modalidade de ‘anti-humanismo teórico’ cujos efeitos políticos são da maior importância. Dentre eles, está a pulverização do campo das práticas libertárias, a expansão das lutas de libertação a objetivos ímpares e renovados, assim como a defesa do lugar descentrado, e por isto mesmo invulgar e estrategicamente móvel, do intelectual. Nossas perguntas: como praticar, nesses tempos, lutas de resistência aos poderes com real vigor teórico e potencial efetivo de transformação? Como se engajar sem se deixar dominar pelo próprio movimento de transformação da sociedade e se tornar prisioneiro da história?
