This article is concerned with predicatives, i.e. class of unchangeable words which usually express person or environmental states and which have a predicative function. The author tries to research this group of words at diachronic aspect, so source for analysis is Chronicle of Nikon. Extracted data from this literary text are explored from lexical point of view. The author classified corpus of predicatives from Chronicle of Nikon to several lexical classes, e.g. modal predicatives, predicatives expressing evaluations of situation, predicatives which mean mental or physical state of human etc. Thus, the analysis represents a big diversity of the predicatives. Such variety indicates that these units were frequently used in the Old Russian literary text, actually in Old Russian language.
