EL ARTE LEVANTINO: PRIMER TESTIMONIO GRÁFICO DEL CONTACTO DEL HOMBRE CON LA TIERRA

Abstract

Aunque no podamos establecer una relación directa entre las escenas de recolección representadas en el arte rupestre levantino y los orígenes del cultivo de la vid, entre otras razones, y, fundamentalmente, porque los grupos autores de dicho horizonte artístico y cultural se corresponden con grupos de cazadores y recolectores, por tanto, con grupos no productores, lo cierto es que estas escenas encierran un indudable valor etnográfico al ser los primeros testimonios gráficos con que contamos acerca de la relación económica del hombre con la tierra. Escenas de recolección de raíces, tubérculos, frutos de árboles, incluso, de productos animales como la miel, arrojan luz sobre la importancia que tuvo esta actividad en la economía del grupo.
