This paper presents a backward overview over Labor Studies in Cuba since the sixties up to now, always considering researches that pointed out the work as central category of Social Sciences. Issues, authors, theoretical and methodological influences and other addresses are considered. As a conclusion the paper argues that, aside politic and entrepreneurial managers, the Cuban people and its public consciousness are the goal public of the Labor Studies current contributions.
