Abstract

Autor książki Historia głupich idei albo duch narodu w świątyni nauki dr hab. Maciej Górny poddaje analizie pseudonaukowe teorie, które na przestrzeni dziejów były wykorzystywane do uzasadniania uprzedzeń i realizacji celów politycznych. Czy nauka zawsze jest rzetelna i bezstronna? Maciej Górny sugeruje, że nie zawsze, podaje przykłady, jak w historii naukowo uzasadniane były przejawy rasizmu, nacjonalizmu czy szowinizmu. Książka prowokuje do pytania o to, jakie jeszcze mogą być społeczne konsekwencje naukowych błędów.
