Efectos de agentes mutagénicos en la germinación de semillas de aguaymanto

Abstract

El aguaymanto (Physalis peruviana L.), importante por su valor económico y nutritivo, requiere de estudios que apunten a reducir el tamaño de planta, el periodo vegetativo, entre otros. El objetivo de la investigación fue determinar el efecto de dos agentes mutagénicos en la germinación de las semillas de aguaymanto. Se instalaron dos experimentos independientes, los que fueron conducidos tanto en laboratorio como en el vivero. En el primer experimento se aplicó a las semillas la radiación gamma con dosis de 0 Gy, 100 Gy, 150 Gy, 200 Gy, 250 Gy, 300 Gy, 350 Gy y 400 Gy. En el segundo experimento, las semillas fueron remojadas en azida de sodio a dosis de 0,0; 1,0; 1,5; 2,0; 2,5; 3,0 y 3,5 mM.; y además, se incluyó una solución Buffer pH3. Ambos experimentos fueron conducidos en el diseño completamente al azar con cuatro repeticiones por tratamiento. Para la comparación de medias se utilizó la prueba de DUNCAN. Se evaluaron % de germinación radicular, % de germinación cotiledonal, longitud de raíz (mm), % de emergencia y altura de plantas (mm). Los resultados obtenidos sugieren que la dosis de 300 Gy y 2,5 mM produjeron un efecto promedio entre 22,83% y 22,11% comparado con el control, son las recomendables para provocar cambios genéticos deseados.
