Abstract

Ovaj rad je nastajao kroz dulje vrijeme i prikazuje ono razdoblje kada je Amerika počela pružati pomoć Jugoslaviji preko slanja hrane. To je Jugoslaviji pomoglo da prebrodi najteža vremena i da se konstituira kao značajan politički faktor na razmeđu istoka i zapada u hladnoratovskom sukobu. Cijela akcija se odvijala više tajno nego javno. Hrvatska je kao dio veće zajednice u tom vremenu bila najviše zastupljena u svjetskim zbivanjima i na njezinu se prostoru događao niz važnih susreta, a u nedostatku uobičajenih izvora za povjesničare autor se služi modernim sredstvima informiranja i sekundarnim izvorima
