Germination is one of the most important indicators of seed quality. The better the germination, the better the results in sowing, the plant will be more resistant to diseases and pests. Nowadays, various alternatives are used to increase germination, but most of them can be harmful to human health. Recently, laser radiation in the form of a coherent light has started to be used. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of laser radiation on hemp seed germination. The seeds were treated with three different output power lasers (100, 200 and 500 mW) during three different treatment periods (10, 30 and 60 seconds). A decrease in hemp seed germination was found in all treated seeds, especially those treated with 500 mW laser.
