Manzana cerrada, bloque abierto

Abstract

Las formas de organizar la vivienda en la ciudad son limitadas. Dejando aparte la disyuntiva entre vivienda unifamiliar con jardín y vivienda colectiva, dentro del universo de esta última encontrarnos dos grandes formas: la «manzana cerrada» y el «bloque abierto». Cronológicamente la primera tiene una historia rnás dilatada, pudiendo afirmase que el bloque abierto es una «invención» del primer tercio del siglo XX.
