Philosophy aims at obtaining a collective view, complete knowledge as to being, knowledgeand values. The conceptual pattern which is integrated with language constitutes the philosophyitself. Philosophical activity gains value within a culturel integrity and through the language of thatparticular culture. On the other hand, literature actually may be defined as any piece of writing thatcan claim that it has artistic beauty. Literature is the art of written works. It is the mirror of our lives.Our lives and all the subjects that are related to our lives can be the subject matters or elements of literature.Although philosophy and literature distinct means from each other, there are cases in whichthey intersect with each other. Felsefe ve edebiyat insanın kendi varoluşunu açığa vurduğu iki farklı etkinlik alanıdır. Felsefe, varlık,bilgi ve değerler hakkında toplu bir görüş, bütünlüklü bir bilgi elde etme amacı güder. Dil ile bütünleşmişbulunan kavramsal örgü, felsefenin bizzat kendisini oluşturur. Felsefi etkinlik bir kültür bütünlüğündeve o kültürün diliyle hayat bulur. Diğer taraftan edebiyat ise, genellikle sanatsal güzelliğe sahipolduğu iddia edilebilen yazılı eserlerin bir bölümü olarak tanımlanabilir. Edebiyat, yazılı eserlereilişkin bir sanat türüdür. O, yaşamlarımızın aynasıdır. Yaşamlarımız ve yaşamlarımızla ilgili konularıntümü edebiyatın konu ya da ögeleri olabilir. Felsefe ve edebiyat birbirlerinden farklı alanlar olmalarınarağmen kesiştikleri noktalar da vardır.
