Abstract

Russian of the 21st century is one of the most dynamically changing Indo-European languages. For the researcher this dynamics constitutes a source of inspiration and provides new conceptual and methodological challenges. The series Language and Method. Russian in the 21st Century Linguistic Research monitors the results of the latest research in this area, taking into account the achievements of the most important academic centres of Slavic studies in Russia and Europe. The authors of the articles published in these volumes joined in the discussion concerning the methodological breakdown of linguistics from two – for the time being opposite yet complementary – perspectives: static and tangible theory vs. unrestrained and unruly empirical enquiry.

Seria Język i metoda.
