Abstract

The paper discusses determinologization in the Serbian language. This process is thoroughly analyzed, explained and defined. Determinologization forms part of the process of enriching a language fund, and is distinguished from the process of terminologization and other language processes. The paper focuses on the comparison of the semantic content of a lexical unit determined as a term and one which has been determinologizied. The paper provides an attempt to answer the question as to how detereminologization may be an active way to enrich the general vocabulary of the Serbian language.
