<< Objectives >>By implementing the project, COPE seeks to to help educators in understanding how traumatised learners feel and therefore apply methods developed through COPE to effectively work with learners as well as understanding signs of trauma. Learners will receive counselling and support in their wellbeing and inclusion. Educators and volunteers throughout the EU will be prepared for the fall out of the war in Ukraine in their various workplaces.<< Implementation >>- Practice collection of the current state-of-the-art of how educators are prepared to deal with traumatised groups across Europe - Training courses for informal adult educators and volunteers based on the situational simulation method to “train” for critical situations in their workplaces.- Production of infographics and handbook - Creation of an e-learning course and an awareness campaign to understand trauma and end the stigma among adult educators on EPALE and social networks<< Results >>The outcomes are to create an accessible course for educators and volunteers resulting in a network of informed and compassionate educators who can respond effectively to trauma-related needs in their everyday work or volunteer situations.The results of COPE will be transferable and embedded in our above described holistic approach, creating synergies between the sectors and countries in Europe. Therefore, it will be a starting point to extend the discussion and knowledge on the topic.
