A set of utilities written in Python programming language to compare Ionosphere predictions/estimations provided in IONEX format from two analysis centers. It can also be used to download IONEX files published by analysis centers and export grided VTECs in numpy arrays to IONEX formated files. Ionocomp is configurable using a configuration file, where the year, day, and region for comparison can be changed. Ionocomp supports standard IONEX formatted files or numpy npz archives. Ionocomp also includes an IONEX downloader and generator tool, making the download and production of IONEX files simpler. It can produce a PDF formated document with difference maps and information about the mean, standard deviation, and RMSE of the differences. The output contains TEC plots of the ground truth (IGSG GIM), model output, and difference plot for the Northern and Southern Hemisphere as well as global plots. In addition statistics of differences are also generated.
