Prepress Color Labs: Real-Time Heuristic Simulation for Prepress Colorimetry

Abstract

This repository contains the implementation of Prepress Color Labs, a real-time, client-side simulation engine for prepress colorimetry. The system replaces traditional ICC-based workflows with heuristic modeling, enabling dynamic color transformations in CIELAB space. It supports RGB and CMYK workflows, including additive and subtractive synthesis, gamut mapping, tone value increase (TVI), and total area coverage (TAC). The implementation is validated against the Adobe Color Engine (ACE) using the ISO Coated v2 (FOGRA39) standard. A live demo is available at:https://gk1966.github.io/prepress-color-labs/
