This repository provides an automated pipeline for extracting metabarcoding assay validation criteria from scientific literature using AI. It wraps the [MetaBeeAI](https://github.com/MetaBeeAI/MetaBeeAI/tree/main/src/metabeeai) pipeline with preprocessing tools and guidance for preparing PDFs for automated information extraction via the ChatGPT API. For any implementation queries, please contact Lucio Marcello (lucio.marcello@bioss.ac.uk) The repository accompanies the Natural England Commissioned Report "Advancing the metabarcoding assay validation framework", authored by Eulyn Pagaling, Lucio Marcello, Lorena I. Rangel, Rachael Murray, Bernd Hanfling, Thomas C. Parker and Clara Benevant-Celma, which can be downloaded from the [Natural England Access to Evidence Catalogue](http://publications.naturalengland.org.uk/).
