v1.0.4 - "It's submitted and citeable! - and loads" Description This release provides the bare minimum for scientific reproducibility. This release of this project allows readers of the paper to re-run analysis and obtain draft versions of the main figures. It also allows, in a rudimentary way, for the user to peruse the code and data required to come to the conclusions provided in the text of the forthcoming paper. This paper will be linked to the repository after publication. This will also constitute a new release. This release is just for getting a DOI from Zenodo, after I submitted this manuscript. Features The main goal of this release was to provide a stable, portable version of the analysis conducted in this paper, so that anyone could download the directory, and run all the analysis with a single terminal command. This release accomplishes that. Future goals are to build on this and provide some simple tools for the interested to easily build on this work. Data This repository contains all the data necessary to replicate the results and analysis presented in this paper. Nonetheless, the data are also hosted elsewhere on their own, in a Zenodo repository. Data I/O This repo includes code for reading in raw data files into R and prepping them for a wide range of analysis. When/if you go about trying to use this data for yourself, you won't have to reinvent the wheel. I've got the scripts you need to import these data, or data like it. Analysis These scripts detail the methods used to calculate probabilities and summarize data to draw appropriate conclusions about the dynamics of stream width distributions in small headwaters. If you find an error please let @ericbarefoot know! Figures This code can reproduce draft versions of all the data-driven figures in this paper. Most were touched up in Adobe Illustrator, so they are not quite publication quality, but comparison with the publication figures should be easy. The publication figures are included in the repository. Next Up Functionality in future releases will include: Standalone functions for table-reading etc. to provide out-of-the-box data import tools for forked projects. Improved documentation and commenting Cleaned up code and a lack of extraneous material. Easy tools for querying specific results, duplicating analyses, and producing custom supplemental figures.
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 0 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
