
This booklet is a practical guide to preserving and restoring forest ecosystems and ecological corridors in Eastern and Southeastern Europe. Written for protected area managers in the Carpathian, Balkan, and Dinaric Mountains, it presents 17 flexible, context adaptable management actions to improve habitat connectivity and support healthy populations of large carnivores and their prey. The actions are grounded in habitat restoration and connectivity principles, emphasizing stakeholder collaboration.
