Historia local y Ciencias Sociales: fundamentos teórico-metodológicos para su enseñanza

Abstract

La obra aborda la necesidad de transformar la enseñanza de las Ciencias Sociales, superando currículos tradicionales que limitan el pensamiento crítico y la participación estudiantil. En la sociedad del conocimiento actual, la prevalencia de la clase magistral y la pasividad del estudiante contrastan con la urgencia de enfoques que fomenten el liderazgo y la construcción activa del conocimiento. La historia local se presenta como una propuesta pedagógica esencial para superar estas limitaciones. Al vincular a los estudiantes con su entorno inmediato, promueve un aprendizaje significativo y activo, involucrando tanto a docentes como a alumnos. Sin embargo, se detecta un vacío en los currículos de Ciencias Sociales respecto al ámbito local, lo que impide la construcción de identidad y el reconocimiento de lo autóctono. Este enfoque busca llenar dicha brecha, resaltando la relevancia de la historia local para el desarrollo de un pensamiento crítico y una comprensión profunda de la sociedad, impulsando una educación más pertinente y contextualizada.
